My Approach
I believe that developing a genuinely trusting and real connection with your therapist is one of the most important aspects of psychotherapy. Coping with any form of emotional distress can be a lonely and overwhelming experience, and trying to manage life’s demands while feeling physically or mentally exhausted may seem impossible. My first priority is to develop a collaborative plan together, to directly address your individualized treatment needs. I will provide an authentic, nonjudgmental environment that can help promote a sense of safety, support, positive change, and genuine insight into some of your presenting concerns.
I use an integrative model that combines Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Psychodynamic therapy. This approach not only helps to alleviate symptoms, but also helps us better understand the underlying root of these difficulties, and promote long-term maintenance of the progress you've made in therapy.
I am currently providing the option of either in-person, or virtual therapy sessions via a secure, HIPPA-compliant, video conferencing platform. I offer in-person or virtual therapy sessions in New Jersey, and am able to provide telehealth video services across the U.S in all PSYPACT-approved states. Initially, in order for me to thoroughly assess your presenting concerns, and for us to build rapport and develop a sense of familiarity, I recommend meeting once per week for the first 8-10 weeks of treatment. After this time period, we can collaborate and evaluate your progress, review treatment goals, and discuss your preference for frequency of therapy moving forward. Contact me for a free 15-minute video consultation to discuss your interest in therapy and explore if working with me seems like a good fit!
